Pilot Flight Tracker – Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Pilot Flight Tracker (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of the App

Pilot Flight Tracker is a GPS-based flight tracking and logging application for sport and general aviation pilots. The App records GPS data during flight sessions and provides automated detection of takeoffs, landings, and flight segments.

3. Important aviation safety disclaimer

THIS APP IS NOT A CERTIFIED AVIATION INSTRUMENT OR NAVIGATION AID.

Pilot Flight Tracker is a supplementary logging tool only. It must not be used as a primary source for navigation, flight planning, altitude reference, speed reference, or any safety-critical decision making.

The pilot in command (PIC) remains solely responsible for the safe conduct of every flight in accordance with applicable aviation regulations. GPS accuracy depends on device hardware, satellite geometry, atmospheric conditions, and other factors outside our control.

Flight data recorded by this App is approximate and should be verified against certified instruments before being entered into an official pilot logbook.

4. Not an official logbook

The App is a tracking and analysis tool. It does not replace your official pilot logbook as required by your national aviation authority (e.g., Direktorat Civilnog Vazduhoplovstva, EASA, FAA, or equivalent). Data from the App should be used as a reference when completing your official logbook entries.

5. User responsibilities

When using the App, you agree that you will not operate your mobile device in any way that distracts from the safe operation of an aircraft. The App is designed to be started before flight and stopped after flight, with no interaction required during flight. You are responsible for complying with all applicable aviation regulations in your jurisdiction regarding the use of electronic devices during flight.

6. Account and data

The current version of the App does not require an account. All data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for backing up your own data. We are not responsible for any data loss due to device failure, App uninstallation, or any other cause.

7. Accuracy and reliability

While we strive to provide accurate flight detection and tracking, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any data recorded by the App. GPS-based measurements are subject to errors including but not limited to signal interference, poor satellite geometry, device hardware limitations, and atmospheric conditions. Automated flight detection (takeoff, landing, touch-and-go) uses heuristic algorithms that may not correctly identify all flight events in all conditions.

8. Weather data

METAR weather data is provided by third-party services (Aviation Weather Center) and is presented for informational purposes only. Always obtain official weather briefings through approved channels before any flight. We do not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or availability of weather data displayed in the App.

9. Intellectual property

The App, including its code, design, icons, and content, is the intellectual property of Falcon-Tech. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the App without our written permission.

10. Free and premium versions

The App may offer both free and premium features. We reserve the right to change which features are included in each tier. Any paid features will be clearly identified before purchase. Payments are processed through Google Play and are subject to Google’s payment terms.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Falcon-Tech and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to, damages arising from inaccurate GPS data, incorrect flight detection, data loss, missed flight events, or any aviation incident or accident. The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Falcon-Tech from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any aviation regulation.

13. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts in Novi Sad, Serbia.
